New site

Yes another new site running WordPress. What can I say, WordPress is the personal blog equivalent of the “easy button”. They setup fast, they work, they have tons of free crap to choose from, everything a personal blog should be.
So I set this up mainly to have a place to just ramble about non work stuff, and a place to dump all my RC photos. Dreamhost, we’ll see if you really mean “unlimited storage”. I got sick of Flickr limiting me to 100 MB per month. Seriously, 100MB, the best photos from m latest RC race were more than that, AFTER cropping and fixing. So for the next few days I’ll screw around trying to find a gallery plugin I like, or maybe just write a quick one using Lightbox or something.
I also connected this site to Google Apps, what an amazing, free, tool that is, and Dreamhost is all setup to connect to it from the start. I have my emails running through it, a calendar, docs, all kinds of stuff, for FREE. Yes there is a paid version, for the “enterprise” level folks, but it’s just another fun web toy for me. I also like using GMail for my emails more than whatever random open source crapware a host chooses for webmail. Squirrelmail, and all the others are junk from my experience.
So I am off to find a good gallery plugin, if anyone has a suggestion, hit the comments, or the contact form. Hell hit both, lets really abuse this baby.
